What is the Obesity Clinic? Minimize
This  Obesity  Clinic  is  intended  to  provide  the  family  and  consumer  both  education  and  support  regarding health and obesity concerns. The Obesity Clinic conducts research and implements behaviorally based inter-ventions, as well as educational and training opportunities for families on the topics of nutrition and health. Assessment,  consultation,  training  and  case  management/treatment  survivability  are  implemented.  A  variety of consultation and supportive formats are employed (i.e., one-on-one, group, and multidisciplinary team consisting of a medical doctor, nutritionist, board certified behavior analyst, and school personnel).

What do Families Learn?

Families are educated and taught methods on topics such as how to contain and monitor caloric intake, how to choose alternative methods of cooking and alternative foods to consume, how to manipulate exercise levels,  and  most  importantly,  how  to  maintain  treatment  survivability and the management of behaviors over time.

Multi-Disciplinary Approach

CPC works closely with nutritionists and medical doctors to support their nutritional and medical recommendations by providing self management strategies to ensure the patient’s compliance with the treatment.
